Teacher Talia

Talia has combined her life experiences along with her degree in education to turn her vision of opening a preschool into a reality.

Talia loves the excitement that children bring to preschool as they explore new ideas and learn to express themselves. She provides a nurturing environment where each child can develop their social/emotional skills, learn how to be a good friend, and be Kindergarten ready.

Preschool is a magical time and Talia is fortunate to work with kids and their families as they discover and grow.

Teacher Donna

Donna has been with Beaumont Preschool since 2017. She brings with her over ten years of experience as a ballet, jazz, and creative movement teacher. Donna was also the original preschool teacher at Little Lark Preschool in SE Portland, where she worked for three years, developing curriculum and working with parents to create a wonderful preschool experience. Her degree is in Business and Human Resource Management, but she has found she much prefers working with children. She has continued to further her knowledge in the field of education by attending seminars and workshops every year.

Donna’s favorite part of the day is facilitating music and movement. She sings and plays instruments with preschoolers, as they explore rhythm and musicality. As they dance and express themselves with movement, children increase balance, coordination, special awareness, flexibility, memory and self-confidence. They have a ton of fun and there is usually a fair amount of giggling.

Teacher Mya

Mya was born and raised right here in N.E. Portland. She’s an alumni of both Scott School, and McDaniel High School. She studied early childhood education at Mt. Hood Community College and was an assistant teacher at the Franciscan Montessori Earth School for three years. She was then the lead preschool teacher at the Children’s Garden in downtown Portland. From there, Mya adventured to the east coast, where she owned a deli/bagel shop.

After returning home in 2016, Mya worked with Metro and S.E.I. teaching at-risk students about environmental and racial justice, the history of our city, and how to care for ourselves through it all.

Mya brings her years of experience working with children, love for education, and the ever-so-slightly silly side to her personality that kids and most adults enjoy.

Teacher Becky

Becky moved to Portland from London via Amsterdam almost 20 years ago.

She has worked at three different NE preschools over the last 9 years and loves having fun with this amazing age group, where there is so much joy, curiosity and big honest emotions! She is very passionate about books and uses reading and acting out stories as a base for getting to know your kiddos and foster their imaginations. She is also a certified Yoga Playgrounds instructor.

Another passion of Becky’s is dancing and womens fitness. She is now so happy to split her time working with children and at PulsePDX, where you may find her on the front desk, taking care of administration, the studio, members and teachers, or maybe even dancing on stage.

In her spare time Becky loves spending time with her family, walking her corgi, devouring podcasts, cooking and running her twin boys here, there and everywhere.
